TEXIllustrator … Garment Design & Illustration |
|
The Three Features of TEXIllustrator… 1. Design from Concept The most important feature of this software is the in built library. You can style your own Garment. This library contains a number of different garment types such as Men’s Shirt, Lady’s Dress, Kid Dress, T-shirts, Kid Pants, etc…. Once the user has decided to design a particular garment for e.g. A Men’s Shirt, he has yet another set of categories to view. These categories are the parts of the garment, in this case parts of the Men’s Shirts are collars, sleeves, plackets, pockets, bottom, etc…Using these different parts the user can achieve a desired garment style. If the user is not satisfied with parts provided in the library he might use the simple drawing tools to draw the style as desired.
2. Illustrate for Stitching The next feature is the illustrated output. This sketch can also be given minute details like special stitching effects and the production instructions (indicated by arrows) required for tailoring. This self-explanatory sketch makes communication a lot easier between the designer and the manufacturer or the Stitching Master.
3. Present to Sell Once your final sketch is ready, the user can fill his outlined illustration with the desired fabric types, for eg. Checked patterns or stripes or even floral prints to see the effect of that particular design on the garment. A good example to explain this feature is an Engineering Designed Shirt. In such a shirt, the designer can view the different placements of the engineering print as required. This image would help the master to cut the fabric accordingly. As shown in this shirt, the print has to be placed on the bottom of the shirt, so this output would help the master understand the concept of the garment design in a much easier way. The kid dress has a combination of a checked fabric as well as plain fabric. This output helps the master to see which section should be plain and which one is printed. The placement of the little patchwork can also be seen clearly.
