The TC-1 reduces the process from a drawn sketch to a woven sample from weeks into minutes! This is achieved through direct control of every single warp-end, which enables simulation of the threading and weave construction of any shaft loom or Jacquard loom.

Design Studio Sampling

The designer/weaver will operate the TC-1, thus sampling becomes an integrated part of the design process. A rack of ready dressed warp-beams and industrial knotting-machines can ease the shift from one warp colour to the next.

The designer’s attention may be entirely devoted to exploring the interplay of weaves, materials, sets and colours which may be suited for the actual design. Changes of weave constructions and warp densities can be carried out instantly. You can make castouts, and try a design on more open warps, without re-threading the warp or the reed. Several warp-ends can be made to operate like one.

Minimal Sample Costs

It will no longer be necessary to book time slots, and thus stop a production loom to make samples. Sampling will be less labour intensive. The net production time will increase, and costs related to running or dedicating production looms for sample production, can be reduced considerably
