1986,
Mr. Ashutosh Arora a Textile Designer & Consultant
specializing in Weaving Technology, first thought about this
concept whilst his children were playing a newly introduced
“Video Game” called ATARI.
1987,
Mr. Arora buys himself a SPECTRUM computer; this was a 128kb
Memory Computer that used tapes for data. He developed a small
code using “BASIC 128” the code generated basic Weaves. The
urge for something more sophisticated grew on…
1988,
· Mr.
Arora meets a Master Software Programmer Mr. Makrand Gadre,
popularly known as “MAK”.
· The
two Masters created something that could possibly be
India’s first CAD system in all respects, MAK fondly called it
TEXStyle, and it basically handled Dobby Weaving
development. MAK is working with MICROSOFT since 1994, and is
now posted at a very senior level.
· TEXStyle
covered some very impressive features like
Auto Pattern, Extra Warp
Weaving and Exact EPI/PPI scaling.
· The
computer was then an IBM PC AT 286 8 MHz, with a Monochrome
Monitor and a DOT MATRIX printer, MS-DOS 2.1. Mr. Arora used
this system to enhance his own designing capabilities.
1989,
Wonder Weaves Systems is founded;
new entrants to the company Mr. Pramod Bakre and Mr. Sunil
Menon. Mr. Bakre took charge of the marketing and Mr. Menon
joined in as trainee designer.
1990,
More Computer Systems are added, the company finds the going
tough, as there are not many takers.
1991,
· Wonder
Weaves Systems celebrates its first Client, M/s Maheshwari
Industries.
· The
first colour printer is purchased and more realistic
SIMULATION is now possible,
· More
exposure more curiosity.
1992,
Wonder Weaves Systems participates in its first ITME India
expo.
1993,
saw more sales and there was more Staff and better equipment.
Ms Samina Mansuri was appointed who then went on to become the
Sales spearhead, Ms Samina was with WWS for 8 years after
which she migratd to the US, where she represented WWS in its
first ever ATME in 2001.
1994,
introduced Jacquard Weaving
Design Software called JACArt,
developed on concepts provided by ATIRA
1995,
· Introduces
TEXPrint, software for prints design
· Upgrades
TEXStyle & JACArt to WINDOWS 95.
1996,
· Participation
in India ITME, and company profile was further established.
·
COLORMode,
a color development & matching software
was developed which also
provided PANTONE
compatibility.
1997,
exports boomed, more systems were sold to Iran, Pakistan, Sri
Lanka & HK.
1998,
· The
Semi Automatic Card Punching Machine is introduced, JACCard;
· Mr.
Vivek Arora joins WWS during this year and heads the Card
Punching Machine development.
· TEXStyle
98, TEXPrint 98 & JACArt 98 are launched for
WINDOWS 98
· WWS
introduces the most unique feature INTERACTIVE
PITLOOMTM for TEXStyle 98 & JACWeave 2000. This
is the most powerful feature aiming at Elimination of the
Point Paper Graph, making the softwaresystems utterly user
friendly. Now even non-technical persons can develop extremely
complex Dobby and Jacquard Designs.
1999,
Jacquard designing is given a new dimension, JACArt is phased
out and
two Software
Modules, JACDraw & JACWeave are introduced.
2000,

The worlds’ first Software for CARPET
designing
is developed with Wool Research Association.

YARN 2000
is developed,TEXStyle
2000 & JACWeave 2000 become
the Worlds’ first software
systems to allow usage of scanned yarns.
· All
software converted to 24-Bit system.
· This
year also saw the
introduction of TEXTrace a Vector Based Image
Development Module.
·
Participation in India ITME
·
TEX3d,
3-dimensional Texture mapping software is introduced.
· All
systems are made compatible to WINDOWS 2000/ME
& WIN NT
2001,
· WWS
acquires exclusive
dealership of the TC-1, Electronic Jacquard Sample Loom
from Digital Weaving, in the India Subcontinent; Mr.
Vivek is trained for assembly and maintenance of the same at
Norway. Our new motto “from
Concept to Fabric… in Minutes”
· WWS
participates in the American Textile Machinery Expo (ATME-I),
Greenville, North Carolina.
· Staubli
& Bonas protocols are successfully tested for use with
JACWeave ME.
· All
systems are upgraded to
WINDOWS XP.
· WWS
installs 4 modules on multi-platform & multi-user CITRIX for
testing at a prominent Garment Brand in Germany, well over 50
licences are being considered for purchase.
· WWS
initiates sales in Europe with negotiation with a prospective
representative in Paris our WWS products have been approved by
the technical people of the organisation. Currently the same
firm represents a well-known European Software company dealing
in similar products.

Digital Weaving, Norway tests and approves
TEXStyle & JACWeave for distribution with its TC-1, Electronic
Jacquard Sample Loom.
· Ms.
Shikha Arora D/o Mr. Arora also joins; she is a graduate in
Fashion Designing.
· TEXIllustrator,
Software Garment Styling & Illustration is developed.
Ms. Shikha spearheads the project.
2002,
